SMYC (St Marks Youth Church) is for children in school years R- 5 in North Heath Hall.
Our sessions are based on scripture union material which helps us to relate Bible stories to our lives today . This is carried out together as a whole group through the use of games, songs, quizzes and fun activities linked to the topic and followed up in our smaller groups as we look at a bible based story, craft, drama and other activities.
SMYC is based on the theme of Noah’s ark with a large multi-coloured parachute as the backdrop and the leaders as our crew, helping the children to have fun whilst learning more about God.

C.Y.F.A. is a Christian group run for youth from the ages of 14 to 17 (yrs9 to 12) at St Mark’s.
It is a fabulous group of around 16 members and provides the young people with a forum to explore their understanding and knowledge of Christianity and of course to have fun.
We meet on a Sunday either in the morning at the Holbrook Club, 10.45-11.45am or at St Mark’s Church in the evening at 7.30-9.00pm.
Among the things CYFA has been involved with this year are, attending a concert, help with fund raising (for the outreach our parish youth are planning for in Durban ’09), Sunday service with the music group and Enter, the parish youth service.
The Sunday meetings provide an opportunity to build on relationships and give and listen to opinions on the Christian faith. We study passages in the Bible which we feel are relevant to the topic and try to determine what it tells us is right.
CYFA is a very friendly group of teenagers. If anyone feels they would like to come along and join us they would be made very welcome!
